Tomorrow officially marks the first day of Spring.
So with a nod to day-light become increasingly longer, and pictures of Magnolia in full bloom starting to appear on Instagram; I felt it was only fitting to bring some Spring to The London Mum.
Spring is full of pastel colours and nice soft hues reminding us of natures rebirth.
So the pastel blue and pink flower detailing on this midi length skirt and Bardot inspired crop top from the Miss Selfridge sale seemed only too fitting.
Paired with my Carvela heels and a simple pale denim jacket it’s definitely a Spring has sprung kind of number.
Even more so, because I picked it up from the website Love The Sales, who list sale items from over 500 retailers all in one place. Making it easier to find something at a great discount!
Although this outfit is quite vintage in its cut, it also holds its place in contemporary fashion with the two piece element.
The flash of skin adds something unique to the way our former style icons would have worn this garment shape.
I tend to stick to minimal pieces when it comes to my wardrobe, so I’m loving the flash of colour this outfit brings. With the pieces being able to be worn individually, I’ll be able to mix and match them and make sure Spring is fully appreciated!
