I’m going to take you on a Great British Adventure…
Sometimes as a inhabitant of the British Isles I often overlook the things that make Great Britain so damn great! And I’m sure you must do the same. It seems odd that people pay to come to this country and holiday here when we often fail to see the real old charm that lies within the borders.
But I was lucky to rediscover all that charm when I went to the Boden A/W press day.
There were hints of tweed and prints synonymous with London…
An Enid Blyton book that was displayed brought back memories of adventures and the ideal childhood full of country walks and outdoor life. Which was reflected in the gorgeous children’s wear and accessories.
The country theme continued through to adult wear with gorgeous Autumn bloom prints and wellies, and good old tweed and heritage checks!
There were also luxurious fabrics and gems galore…
They even updated their popular Breton top with a sparkly gold collar (a must have piece!).
And one of my favourite items of the day nodded towards the 1960’s style with this divine pink coat…
Seriously it’s almost like the designers at Boden knew what my dream collection would be. It’s one of the reasons they’re one of my favourite brands. They just know how to perfect style and the clothes are cut so beautifully that they look tailored.
I know when the new season is upon us a large proportion of my wardrobe will be bought from Boden and as we head back into Winter the clothes will certainly soften the blow that Summer is behind us.
But while the S/S collection is still around I best make sure I get those purchases in now so I don’t miss out. I have my eye on the Blue Riviera Nancy Dress!
Oh Boden how I love thee!
